Then Friday brings Gajab Raat, Dorothy and the Malayalam film Dhoomakethu on top of the new Lupin episodes.
Here is how the Netflix slate looks across the two days.

Gajab Raat: The Film Everyone Will Argue About
Gajab Raat is the title we think will start the most conversations. Manoj Bajpayee plays a police officer who is pulled between easy money and doing the right thing, and the whole story runs over a single night. It is directed by Ritesh Shah in his first outing as director and produced by Neeraj Pandey’s Friday Filmworks. The cast also includes Saqib Saleem, Akshay Oberoi, Divya Dutta, Kiku Sharda, Nushrratt Bharuccha and Shraddha Das. It had an earlier working title that was changed after objections, which already gave it some pre-release noise.
One small note: some listings call it a film and a few call it a series. Most sources treat it as a film, so confirm the format on Netflix before you plan your evening.
The Paradise: Streaming a Day Earlier
The Paradise is Nani’s period action drama, directed by Srikanth Odela, and it reaches Netflix on October 22 after releasing in theatres on September 24. Nani plays Jadal, a leader rising against oppression in the lanes of Secunderabad, with Mohan Babu, Kayadu Lohar and Raghav Juyal in key roles. Anirudh Ravichander handles the music. It runs close to three hours, so start it early.
Dorothy: The Quiet Pick
Dorothy is Karthik Subbaraj’s tenth film as director, with Keerthy Suresh in the title role. It is a rural Tamil Nadu story about two childhood friends and a household member who meets misfortune. The music is by Ilaiyaraaja. If you want something slower and more emotional than a thriller, this is the one.

It was shot across Japan, Kolkata and Mumbai and deals with body-shaming and social expectations. It is under two hours, which makes it easy to fit into a Friday night.
