TraceNews is a small newsroom in Jaipur. We work with reporters and editors across India.
How We Work
We are a lean team, so everyone writes, checks their own facts, and files on time. If you want a newsroom where your byline appears on the story and your name links to your own author page from day one, this is that.
Who We Are Looking For
Reporters
Business, technology, finance and sports. You should be able to file a clean, sourced 600-word story on deadline.
Sub-editors
Strong on headlines, accuracy and Indian English style. You will be the last line of defence before publication.
Freelance contributors
Paid per story. Ideal if you have a beat and sources but do not want a full-time role.
How to Apply

Send a short pitch
Two paragraphs on the beat you want to cover and why you are the person to cover it. Not a cover letter.

Attach two samples
Published work if you have it, unpublished if you do not. We care about the reporting, not the outlet.

Expect a reply within a week
If your samples fit, we will commission a paid trial story before discussing anything longer term.
