Originally the online application window was set to close on 21 August 2026, but IBPS has issued a corrigendum extending the last date to 28 August 2026, giving candidates extra time to register and pay the application fee.

Why Was the Last Date Extended?
Every year IBPS receives a large volume of applications close to the deadline, and this cycle was no different — server load and last-minute registration requests led IBPS to issue a corrigendum pushing the online application and fee payment deadline from 21 August 2026 to 28 August 2026. Candidates who had not yet submitted their form now have an additional window to complete registration, upload documents, and pay the fee without penalty.

- A pass in Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a university recognised by the Government of India, or an equivalent qualification recognised as such
- Candidates must possess a valid Mark-sheet / Degree Certificate confirming graduation as on the specified cut-off date

Selection Process
The IBPS Clerk (CSA) selection process is conducted in the following stages:
- Online Preliminary Examination
- Online Main Examination
- Local Language Proficiency Test (for candidates who don’t already know the local language of the allotted state)
There is no interview round for the Clerk cadre — final selection is based on marks scored in the Mains exam, subject to qualifying the Prelims.
